Champions League Final
22 Aug 2008, 3pm
Jalan Besar Stadium
Before I begin, I must thank Ms Hikmah for keeping the photographs of the Champions League Final in a safe place. The search for these photos took longer than it should, with rumours of it gone with the computer crash.
It was just a delight to be able to see these photos as we relive some of the memories again. These photos meant alot to those who had been involved in the season 2008.
Myself included. Thank you so much.
Routine warmup
The next batch of young talents.
That killer instinct in front of goal.
My secret weapons from the bench.
Here we go. It's action time.
Calm faces amongst anxious ones.

I wonder if FAS would take a closer look at anyone of them ???

They did a wonderful job throughout the game.
Few schools are able to make the Sports School crowd sound ordinary.
Is the referee going to blow the whistle soon ?
We lost the game 1-2.
Customary handshake after the final whistle.
A teary Yue Seng.
A satisfied looking Firdaus. He Played well.
A disappointed Danial. He had an outstanding game.
He had ran non-stop for 70 minutes.
He had a point to prove against Sports School.
I think they had noticed his presence throughout the game.
As usual, Tamash quietly picks up his medal.
He scored a goal which was disallowed.
To rub salt into injury, he was yellow carded shortly after the disallowed goal.
I can understand how he feels. Poor boy, it was just not his day !!
Fendy did not get to play. But he got his medal anyway.
But he's hanging on to his medal real tight.
Was he still thinking about the game ?
Or did his injuries hurt so bad ?
That smile says it all.
It's a good season 2008 for him.
Ikram is happy.
He did extremely well for season 2008.
He had only less than 8 months of formal training and he's now got a medal too.
It was spontaneous and that was a proud moment for Hong Kah.
It does not matter if we win or lose.
We're in this together as a Hong Kah family.
It was hard to say goodbye to the C boys.
I will defintely remember this batch.
The amount of loyalty was unmatched.
I had the honour of pushing them to their limits.
In the end, what made me felt good was the fact that they truely believed that they were able to beat the Sports School.
For once in many years, I was not alone.
Boys, thank you for believing.
God bless and may you be champions one day.
