HKSS C boys at Jurong East Stadium

It's nice to see former HKSS C boys playing professional football.
It's a long journey and involves a lot of commitment and sacrifices.
Singapore is well known around the world for it's education system.
When it comes to football education, Singapore can definitely learn from other countries.
With better knowledge and more effort put into grooming young talents,
HKSS hope to play a part in shaping the future of Singapore football.

HKSS was grateful that Albirex Niigata Team manager Mr Koh Mui Tee actually made special arrangement for our HKSS boys to mingle and had their photos taken with Afiq and Fazli.

Hopefully the presence of Afiq and Fazli in the Young Lions Team
would inspire HKSS boys to greater things in future.
Fazli and Afiq was a little bit surprised that
HKSS boys were actually in the stadium to watch them play.
The game ended in 2-4 defeat to Albirex Niigata Singapore.
Fazli assisted for the first goal of the game for the Young Lions
in the early 2 minutes of the first half.
Afiq came on as a substitute late in the second half.

Sports School Invitation Tournament for HKSS C boys

This time Shah was not to be denied.
He shoots pass a static SKSS defence and
drilled a solid grounder to the bottom right corner.
HKSS 3 SKSS 0 at half time.
HKSS continued to press for the ball in the second half but
SKSS was also desperate to get back into the game.
HKSS had to survive a penalty appeal and long range shot rebounding from the crossbar.
HKSS showed great mental toughness by breaking free and
converting a late 4th goal from a counterattack move.
Hirzee was the scorer.
He dummied the SKSS defenders to the left and stroke home with his weaker right foot.
Final score : HKSS 4 SKSS 0.
Summary of results for the past 5 days :
2 wins 1 draw 1 loss.
Well done boys.Hirzee wanted a goal badly.
He gets another opportunity.
Raihan scored his first ever goal for HKSS.
It was a beautiful left foot volley from outside the box.

He had beaten the defence but not the keeper.

He completed many forward passes that gave SKSS defence many problems.

Farihin took on 2 SKSS defenders and beats them confidently.
His early cross from the left was headed home by Hairyl on the 3rd minute of the first half.
Daniel drilled in a beautiful floating ball.
Jie Shen went into the 6 yard box a fraction of a second too early and headed the ball over.
Raihan retained possession for HKSS and looked up early for a useful forward pass.
Now Daniel had to be on his toes to slow down SKSS's attack.
Attack breaks down but HKSS retains possession.

The early pressure was tiring indeed.
Shah was extremely hard working during this game.
When HKSS had the ball, it was played forward quickly with few touches to the front.
HKSS pressed early and didn't allow SKSS to settle down.
HKSS was ready and showed early confidence.
Raihan is getting more mature and responsible by the games.
He captained HKSS again against SKSS.
He had been very consistent throughout the season.
He had to show more of his courage and learn to be more encouraging during the game.

The previous encounter was a friendly in Dec 2010.

Muzakir fired 2 beautiful long range goals pass their keeper then.
He was not available for this game due to injury.

Farihin had a good tournament so far.
He looked confident.
Raihan started for the game against MSL.
His partnership with Aidil looked promising.
With him and Aidil anchoring the middle,
Hirzee had more freedom to roam forward to join in the attack.
He scored 2 goals against MSL but picked up a silly yellow card for obstructing a MSL freekick.

It was a good turn-around after playing poorly against ISA.
Senior players did not stick to game plan and changed the formation during the ISA game.
HKSS responded by sticking together and sticking to the game plan for this game.
It was a comfortable win against MSL but the psychological boost was tremendous.
HKSS now knows that sticking to the game plan gives everyone confidence.

It was bright and sunny.

He was asked to play the role a bit more narrow than usual.

1 day rest after playing ISA makes a huge difference.
The players had their batteries recharged and looking forward to games again.
Final score : HKSS 0 : ISA 3.
HKSS learned a lot from this game.

Adryan and Raihan played their best but struggled to keep pace with ISA.
Muzakir seldom complained about physical challenges.
But when he is down and stayed down, it's not a good sign.
In fact, the flying elbow was so powerful that it knocked one of his tooth off.
Amazingly, no cards were given.
Just a free kick.
Credit to Muzakir, he carried on on and completed the game with the right attitude.
A captain always lead by example.

HKSS was down by 0-2 at half time.
The first goal conceded was actually a foul on the HKSS keeper
that non of the officials spotted.
HKSS were clearly rattled and struggled to keep pace for this game.

The ISA had only 11 players exactly with no subs on the bench.
They had a 15 year old local player amongst them and the rest looked big.
Much bigger than the usual 14 year old boys.
Game 2 was on a wet, rainy surface.
The game was threatened by the lightning warning.
HKSS vs ISA kicked off as scheduled at 4.30pm.
Muzakir anchored the mid-field very well in the seocnd half.
The game ended 0-0 at full time.
HKSS will have to improve further on it's finishing after this game.
Ciko was not 100% fit but gave his best during the second half.
Farihin responded well to instructions in the second half.
He was more involved in covering Daniel and learned a lot.

HKSS played well offensively but made a few silly defensive errors.
Coach Zai was happy with the energy level and the hard pressing in the first half.
He reminded the boys to continue to work hard in the second half.
Muzakir had a solid game and pressured his opponents very early.
First half was intense. Fast pace and many inter-change of possession.
HKSS had a few well crafted one v one but lacked that killer finishing.
