Sibling rivalries ??

Not at all.

This tournament had brought brothers Suhaimi and Suhairi closer.

They supported each other throughout the day.

In the end, they were both proud of what each other had achieved.

All the players played for each other the whole day.

The reserve players for both teams were unable to play on Sunday.

So both teams had no resserves to turn to even when they were exhausted.

Both teams showed tremendous character and courage to play as a team.

That is the famous Hong Kah neversaydie spirit !

In the end, the winning team was invited to play against the organisers.

Hong Kah Team B lost 2-4, but it did not matter.

Hong Kah boys played impressively throughout the tournament and had fun.

Faiq enjoyed playing in his new red Adidas boots.

He had fun scoring goals, really good goals with his lucky red boots.

Birthday Boy/captain for Hong Kah Team B Suhaimi receiving his medal with pride.

He played well and did a good job motivating his team-mates to glory.

Hong Kah Team A with Coach Mr Ng.

Team A had a tougher draw.

They had to play back-to-back games at the late stage.

They came so close to qualifying for grand finals.

They narrowly lost semi-final and lost the 3rd/4th placing 2-3.

Team A played played as a team.

Tthey kept their composure,

even against teams that were one year older than them.

Everyone in the team had at least a goal to celebrate.

Great job boys !

Hong Kah Team B with coach Mr Ng.

Team B is the Zonal champion for NSSL at Lam Soon CC.

They beat The youngsters by 2-0 in the final.

Faiq(2nd from left) ended the tournament scoring more than a dozen goals.

He managed the feat in 5 games including the final.

They will play the grand finals in Toa Payoh Hub on 5th July 2009.
