This group of boys in white that we played against were 15 years old who had been playing together for 4-5 years.
Our boys fought valiantly but the gulf in standard were quite obvious in every department.
In the end, it was almost miraculous that we escaped with a 1 - 5 scoreline.
It could be much worse.
Credit to the boys that they did not let their head drop in the second half.
A clean sheet in the second half did nothing to restore our bruised pride,
but it did frustrate the restless crowd who were waiting for the floodgates to open.
